Richard the Neighborhood Handyman

Servicing Kailua Town and surrounding areas

A 4 foot high chain link fence was installed on the rear property line as well as partially down one side.  The slope of the hill is approximately 1:2 which made the side portion the hardest part of construction.

The run along the top rear line was fairly level, but there were a couple grade transitions to continue down the hill.

The subtle grade change required closer spacing of posts.  The remaining posts were spaced on 10 foot centers.

This photo gives a better look at the hill condition.

Note:  The property owner is responsible to obtain a fence permit from the Honolulu City & County's Planning and Permitting Department prior to the start of building.  In the case of this project, I did the drawings to assist with the permit application.  The owner will also be required to purchase all fencing material so that only a labor charge can be invoiced.
